Psychiatric Spitex for psychosocial care

In the field of psychiatric Spitex, our professionally trained nurses with further training in psychiatric care provide support and care for people with mental health impairments in their familiar home environment. They help them to cope with crisis situations, overcome mental illness and manage everyday life. The aim is not to lose touch with society and to return to a familiar life.

Accepting help with mental health problems

Anyone can quickly find themselves in a mentally stressful life situation due to external circumstances or internal factors, in which even everyday things become an insurmountable hurdle. Due to the stigmatization and taboo still prevalent in society, people usually end up in social isolation, which makes it even more difficult to get the support they need. However, needing help should never be a reason for shame or withdrawal from one's own social network.

Who pays for the psychiatric Spitex services?

Psychosocial care must be prescribed by a doctor for around 90% of the costs to be covered by health insurance. We are therefore happy to help you or your relatives communicate with the relevant doctors. Basic health insurance covers the costs up to a certain deductible, which varies from canton to canton. The remaining costs are covered by the municipalities. If you prefer not to give the health insurance company any information, you can also cover all the costs yourself. We will be happy to advise you on costs, conditions and formalities.
